Who is Frida?
And how can you meet her?

MeetFrida is a foundation for the promotion of artists in Germany.

Originally founded as initiative, we have been showing art online and in public space since summer 2020. Today, the MeetFrida Foundation represents over 70 international artists.

In outdoor exhibitions, we show artworks on large-scale billboards all over Germany and occupy vacant spaces with open studios. In this way, we turn city centers into temporary museums and give our artists new opportunities to show their art and find new sales channels.

The MeetFrida Art Space, a temporary gallery at the stilwerk Hamburg, hosts exhibitions, artist residencies, events, art talks and much more. The Art Space shows the potential that an artistic use of a vacant space offers – for artists, art lovers and the urban environment alike.

In addition to our exhibitions, the works of our artists can also be found in the MeetFrida online gallery. Whether painting, photography or sculpture - it is important to us that there is also something for people with smaller budgets. That's why we have at least one work from all artists under 500 EUR in the gallery.

With the MeetFrida Foundation we support artists and make art visible, even for people who otherwise have no contact with culture. And along the way, we create one of the largest outdoor galleries ever seen in Germany.
