For the Gallery Weekend in Berlin, countless art lovers and artists flocked to the city. MeetFrida used the opportunity to offer a platform to 12 up-and-coming Berlin artists with their own Pop Up Art Space at The Gate on Torstraße. Under the motto BEYOND GALLERY, various ultracontemporary artworks, from painting - representational and abstract - to sculptural works and photography to digital NFTs, were given space in the period from April 27 to May 1. The aim was not only to unite the most diverse art forms in one exhibition, but also to open up a representational space for socio-political situations and the processing of personal experience.
The artists Elisa Klinkenberg, Jonathan Esperester, Ju Schnee, Joana Lucas, Deniz Hasenöhrl, Niklas Jeroch, Farzin Foroutan, Gidi Gilam, Carla Bertone, Annique Delphine, Coco Bergholm, Theresa Forthaus exhibited their works in the Art Space.
The Pop up Gallery opened on April 27 with an Artist Talk by artists* Elisa Klinkenberg and Jonathan Esperester with MeetFrida founder Dr. Anna Schwan. Susan Choi, host and bartender, led the evening and poured at the Pop Up Art Space's Campari Bar. People talked about their shared passion for art and shared insights into the work of Elisa Klinkenberg, Jonathan Esperester and also the work of the MeetFrida Foundation.
