About the Artist

A journey to the ancient world Firoozeh Akhlaghi was born in Iran, she has been painting since childhood. Her studies took her from her home country to Europe, where she set up her studio. Drawing on her roots in ancient Persia, she has created a visual world full of ancient seals and symbols. For the artist, these symbolic representations are of essential influence on human identity, behavior and feelings. She sees them as a universal cultural starting point, something unifying that we all have in common, touching the collective unconscious and the deeply hidden heritage that we all carry within us.
